How the brain works

So, as i'm having this obsession with memory training, i started to remember the order of the deck of cards two times a day. At some point, after about three or four days, i got tired and i felt like my brain just doesn't need all this thinking and remembering. I took a break for a couple of days and this morning memorized the deck and then recalled it without any mistakes! Usually, when i did this two times a day, several days in a row, i made anything between 1-3 recall errors, but after a break- no errors! There's some science behind it also, which says that after learning something your brain needs a rest to better form the connections between the neurons or whatever- basically for the brain to recover, just like you would recover from a heavy training week. Try your personal best after working out hard for a couple of weeks and i bet that it's not a good idea. You need a couple of days for your nervous system and muscles to recover before you can actually perform at the peak of your performance, the same with a brain.
Obviously i have noticed this before, but it just struck me, because i felt like i couldn't learn for a few days because of "over training my brain", because i was tired. I was also learning spanish the whole day at the same time, so that definitely played a role in that brain blockage i had. Just needed to recover.
